There is a dog in Munster, IN who has been waiting.
Star has been waiting for someone to call her ‘people’ and someplace to call ‘home’. No one has opened their heart or home yet to this sweetie. This sweet Munster dog has been spending her days in the loving care of Humane Indiana until someone falls in love with her.
November is Adopt A Senior Pet Month.
Adopting a senior pet to a family is sometimes a struggle for shelters and rescues because most people don’t realize the joy and rewards that adopting a senior dog can bring. They are missing out. Older pets can offer so many advantages – here are just a few to consider:
- Older dogs are more settled and less rambunctious
- They are usually already potty trained
- Senior dogs are quite affectionate and loving
- They are appreciative of a loving and comfortable home

A little about Star
We don’t know much about her past, but we can tell you that Star is an active 8 years old and a sweet-natured girl that is very loving and loves her walks!. She maintains a great attitude even though she has some incontinence and spinal issues that she deals with. We can tell you that she is friendly with everyone. Star has been in playgroups with calmer dogs but she doesn’t play.
Star needs you!
This Munster dog needs someone to love her and be patient with her needs. Even though the people at Humane Indiana have been so loving and great to her she doesn’t want to spend even one more minute there if she could have something better. What she wants a place that she can call home and people she can call family. Is that you?
