Yay!  March is here!  I don’t know about you, but I’m certainly ready for some SPRING!!  Lots of stuff happening in March, as you’ll soon see.  For starters, did you know that March is

  • Poison Prevention Awareness Month.
  • Adopt a Rescued Guinea Pig Month. (love their little squeaks!)
  • March 3, 2019: If Pets Had Thumbs Day. (ummm, this could be disastrous…)
  • March 3-10, 2019: Professional Pet Sitters Week. (ok, we’re a little fond of this one, wink wink)
  • March 7-10, 2019: Crufts. Held in Birmingham, England, this is the world’s largest dog show, featuring nearly 28,000 canines in its four days.
  • March 13, 2019:K-9 Veterans Day. (I was unaware that there was such a day honoring our canine veterans…)
  • March 17, 2019: Saint Gertrude of Nivelles Day— patron saint of cats.
  • March 17-23, 2019: National Poison Prevention Week.
  • March 23, 2019: National Puppy Day. (ooo – another fun one!!)
  • March 28, 2019: Respect Your Cat Day. (wow. Who came up with this one? If you don’t respect your cat you better respect your scratches…just say’in.)

Those are pretty interesting – especially the Professional Pet Sitters Week …maybe, just maybe I’ll be doing something special for my clients for that whole week…check out our Facebook page for details: The Pet Parlor Facebook Page
